According to a press note issued by the actors’ team, the complaint seeks an investigation into allegedly false and misleading content being circulated on social media. The team has reportedly submitted relevant links and supporting material to the authorities for examination.
The complaint alleges that manipulated screenshots, fabricated content and impersonation have been used to spread misleading narratives about the actors. Their team has clarified that the move is not aimed at restricting freedom of speech or genuine criticism but at seeking accountability for demonstrably false information and potentially unlawful online activity.
The team has also urged social media users to refrain from sharing unverified claims, adding that appropriate legal remedies would be pursued wherever necessary. The authorities have been asked to examine the submitted evidence and investigate the alleged harassment.
