Actor Vijay Deverakonda made the most of a rain-hit schedule on Wednesday, spending the day with his parents after his shoot was cancelled due to the weather.
The Arjun Reddy actor shared a picture on Instagram showing himself asleep between his parents, recreating what he described as his favourite childhood spot.
“Rains Canceled shoots – You get an afternoon nap in your favourite spot as a kid. Recovery – 1000%,” Vijay wrote in the caption. He also credited his wife and actress Rashmika Mandanna for the picture.
Vijay and Rashmika, who got married in February this year, will next be seen together in the upcoming period drama Ranabaali. The film marks their third collaboration after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, and their first screen appearance together as a married couple.
Vijay had earlier shared a heartfelt birthday message for Ranabaali director Rahul Sankrityan on June 29. Recalling their professional journey, he noted that they had worked together on Taxiwaala and expressed his excitement about collaborating with Sankrityan again.
“Happy Birthday, dearest Rah… Nine years after Taxiwaala, while we have grown into men, nothing has changed about your relentless passion to write meaningful stories and your calm obsession in bringing them to life,” Vijay had written.
He also expressed his support for Sankrityan and said he was looking forward to audiences seeing the director’s work in Ranabaali.
According to sources, Ranabaali is believed to draw inspiration from real incidents dating back to the 1850s that have not found prominence in mainstream historical accounts. The film is reportedly expected to explore events that were allegedly misrepresented in historical narratives during British rule.
