After winning any cricket match, even if one player is chosen as the player of the match, two-three players are praised, but each player has a contribution in winning the match. That is why it is said that only the team wins and only the team loses. But compared to every team sport, cricket is different because sometimes even those players who are not part of the match play a big role in it. If anyone has doubts about this then they can watch the India-South Africa ODI match, where despite not being in the team, Tilak Verma saved 5 runs with amazing fielding.
Tilak Verma showed this amazing feat in the second ODI match between India and South Africa in Raipur. Tilak Verma was selected in the squad for this series but he did not get a place in the playing-11 in the first match as well as in the second. But despite this, when Team India needed it, he made such a contribution that every audience got goosebumps and everyone was surprised.
Tilak Verma made this contribution through his fielding, when he was present on the field as a substitute player. What happened was that in the 18th over, Aiden Markram played a big shot at long on but Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was present at the boundary, dropped the catch. In such a situation, he was removed from that position and then Tilak Verma was deployed there in the next over. This also proved beneficial. In the 20th over, Markram again hit a high shot in the same direction. The ball was going for 6 runs but then Tilak jumped in the air and caught it.
Such a wonderful effort by Tilak Varma!
Due to his extraordinary efforts, the team survived!ЁЯлб

Although Tilak was falling outside the boundary, he immediately threw the ball inside the boundary before this could happen. Seeing this, everyone’s eyes widened in tears. No one could believe what a miracle they had seen. The third umpire watched the replay several times and every time it was seen in slow motion, it looked equally astonishing. Ultimately, Tilak’s hard work paid off and the umpire made it clear that it was not a six. South African batsmen had taken only 1 run. In this way Tilak saved 5 runs.
