Tristan Stubbs: South Africa defeated Team India in the Super-8 of T20 World Cup 2026. But, during the same match played on 22 February, there was a fight with South African player Tristan Stubbs. During the match itself, Stubbs was seen having an altercation with the Indian fans. The question is why? Why did the South African cricketer need to clash with Indian cricket fans? Was it the euphoria of South African players’ victory or the pain of defeat among Indian fans? Or was the reason behind this something else?
Why did Tristan Stubbs get angry?
The video of Tristan Stubbs’ altercation with Indian fans is going viral on social media. In the video that surfaced, Stubbs can be seen quarreling with the Indian spectators sitting in the stands of the stadium. Stubbs seems to be saying something angrily to him. But why?
Actually, this whole matter is related to the six hit by Shivam Dubey. Shivam Dubey hit three sixes in the match. 2 against Kagiso Rabada and one against Marco Janson. During one six, the ball reached the Indian fans sitting in the stands of the stadium. Now what happened was that when Tristan Stubbs came to collect the ball, the Indian fans refused to return the ball to him. Stubbs got angry at that very thing and started telling it to the fans.
