Pakistani players playing in different T20 leagues of the world are facing troubles these days. On one hand, star players like Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi have had to face humiliation in Australia’s Big Bash League, while on the other hand, they have become a joke in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) too. Pakistan’s T20 team opener Sahibzada Farhan has been in the headlines for the last few months due to his batting as well as his strange behaviour. He tried to do something similar in BPL also where showing too much intelligence cost him dearly.
Pakistani opener Sahibzada Farhan bpl Is part of Rajshahi Warriors team. For this team, his performance in the league has been decent but sometimes due to overconfidence, he becomes the butt of jokes. This overconfidence and arrogance cost him heavily in the match against Sylhet Titans. The team expected a big score from Sahibzada Farhan, who was opening for Rajshahi, but he failed in it and due to the way he lost the wicket, he became a laughing stock of entire Pakistan cricket.
How did Sahibzada become a joke?
It happened that Bangladeshi fast bowler Ruel Miah of Sylhet was bowling the fourth over. Farhan defended the second ball of his over. As soon as the bowler picked up the ball that came in front of him, Sahibzada Farhan did something which surprised everyone. The Pakistani batsman brought his hand in front of his face and shook it in the style of wrestling superstar John Cena. He did this to tease the Bangladeshi bowler but it had the opposite effect.

On the very next ball, Farhan tried to hit a shot but could not hit the ball properly and the fielder standing at short third man easily caught it and ended Farhan’s game. The Pakistani batsman could not believe it and started returning to the pavilion in surprise with his hands on his head. Farhan scored only 14 runs on 12 balls. But the most fun was the celebration of Ruel Mia. Instead of going towards the batsman and celebrating aggressively and angrily, he moved aside and started celebrating the wicket by lying down on the field like the famous style of Team India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. Trouble for Pak players in BBL too
Earlier in Australia’s BBL, Shaheen Afridi had to be removed from the middle overs because he had bowled beamers twice in a single spell, due to which he was stopped from bowling further. Whereas Mohammad Rizwan was retired out by his team captain in the middle of the innings due to slow batting. If this was not enough, something similar happened with Babar Azam also. He was not retired out but due to slow batting, veteran batsman Steve Smith refused to take a run on the last ball of the over, which surprised Babar. Then Smith, who came to play the next over, hit 4 consecutive sixes in the over, while Babar just kept watching in anger.
