YouTuber Hrithik Chandana was arrested in Gurugram for making the video of him feeding chicken momos to a cow viral. An FIR has been registered against him for hurting religious sentiments. After this the accused has been arrested.
Video of Cow Being Fed Chicken Has Gone Viral: A 28-year-old man was arrested in Sector 56 HUDA Market, Gurugram. He is accused of making a video of himself feeding chicken momos to a cow and uploading it online. According to the police, his motive was to hurt religious sentiments. After the video went viral, the accused has been identified as Hrithik Chandana, a resident of New Colony, who is an influencer. He told investigators that he was paid to record the stunt.
Cow was fed chicken momos by confusing it
Police said that Chandana’s father has a footwear shop on Railway Road and her mother is a doctor in a private hospital in Old Gurugram. According to officials, Chandana studied English Honors from Delhi University between 2018 and 2021 and has been active on YouTube and other platforms.
A senior police officer associated with the investigation said that in the video uploaded several days ago, Chandana is shown buying chicken momos from a shop in Sector 56 Market. After eating some momos himself, he is seen feeding the remaining momos to a cow standing nearby.
Controversial clip not deleted despite neighbors’ request
“Some people in his neighborhood had seen the clip and asked him to delete it,” the officer said. “Although he refused, they alerted a group calling themselves cow protectors, who then informed the police.”
After this the group went to Sector 56 police station and lodged a complaint, after which the officials registered a case. Sandeep Turan, Public Relations Officer of Gurugram Police, said that on the complaint of Chaman Khatana, an FIR has been registered under sections 299 (intentional and malicious act intended to outrage religious feelings) and 325 (mischief by killing or maiming an animal) of the Indian Justice Code.
