Vice Presidential Election 2025: As soon as the Vice Presidential election date draws near, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified the churning with its candidate. The party wants to bring a face that proves to be reliable in future also. Many big names are being discussed in the party forum but the final has not been done yet. It is being told that Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, Karnataka Governor Thawarchand Gehlot, Governor of Sikkim and Governor of Sikkim, Om Mathur and Governor Manoj Sinha (Maanoj Sinha) are done.
RSS related faces also in discussion
It is discussed that the name of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) idea Seshadri Charge is also in the list of potential candidates. At the same time, keeping in mind the upcoming Bihar elections, the current Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh is also being considered. According to the Constitution, if the Vice Presidential election is held between tenure, the candidate selected will complete the entire 5 -year term. Candidates should be an Indian citizen, have completed minimum 35 years of age and are eligible to be elected a member of Rajya Sabha. Any person who holds the office of profit in the government or local body can become a candidate.
