A shameful news related to Pakistan cricket has come to light. A veteran Pakistani cricketer has been accused of raping a maid. There has been an uproar in Pakistan after the complaint was lodged by the maid. Actually, Suleman Qadir, son of former great leg spinner of Pakistan Abdul Qadir, has been accused of serious sexual harassment. A domestic maid has lodged a complaint that the accused forcibly took her to his farmhouse and raped her.

After receiving the complaint, the police has taken Suleman Qadir into custody. According to reports, the victim has been sent for medical examination, the results of which will reveal whether she has been sexually assaulted or not. Under the law, the accused has been kept in custody for questioning and the investigation is ongoing. Let us tell you, 41 year old Suleman Qadir has played domestic cricket for Pakistan. In his cricket career, he played an active role in Pakistan domestic cricket between 2005 and 2013. He has played 26 first class matches and 40 List A matches. Suleman Qadir is one of the four sons of Abdul Qadir. He also runs Qadir Cricket Academy in Lahore.

Memorable career of Abdul Qadir

Suleman Qadir’s father Abdul Qadir has been a big name of Pakistan cricket. He played 67 Test and 104 ODI matches for Pakistan. He is credited with giving new energy to leg spin bowling and making it popular again in the 1980s. Abdul Qadir took a total of 236 wickets in Tests and 132 wickets in ODIs. He had a total of 960 successes in his name in first class cricket. Abdul Qadir died in September 2019.

Suleman Qadir’s brother Usman Qadir has also played international cricket for Pakistan. Usman Qadir has played 1 ODI and 25 T20 matches. During this period, he has taken 1 wicket in ODI and 31 wickets in T20I. However, he has now retired from Pakistan cricket and plays club cricket in Australia.
