As Punjab Kings gear up for their crucial clash against Mumbai Indians at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, fast bowler Arshdeep Singh shared reflections on his most cherished IPL performance.
The left-arm pacer revisited his unforgettable four-wicket haul against MI in the 2023 season, calling it the most special match of his IPL career.

Speaking on JioCinema and Star Sports, Arshdeep fondly recalled the high-scoring 2023 fixture against MI at Wankhede Stadium. Defending a daunting target of 215 runs, he dismantled MI’s batting line-up with figures of 29 for four. Two of the most iconic moments from that spell came on consecutive deliveries, where he shattered the middle stumps of and Nehal Wadhera, a sight etched in the memories of fans.
“When I made my debut for the first time. But the best match, what I feel, was against the Mumbai Indians in Wankhede. MI were chasing some 220-odd runs, and I finished with four wickets, and we won the game. So, it is very close to my heart,” Arshdeep shared.
The 25-year-old pacer also spoke about handling pressure in crunch moments. He acknowledged the faith his team places in him during tight situations and emphasized his approach to staying calm and embracing responsibility.
“And at that time, I try not to feel the pressure and enjoy the moment, and bring good results for the team. It does not happen on a few occasions, but I try not to let it affect me, and when I get a chance in the next match, I do my best and win matches for the team,” he explained.
Arshdeep remains focused on a larger mission this season, delivering Punjab Kings their maiden title.
“And in this season, I`m looking forward to helping Punjab win their first title in IPL and create a legacy for Punjab Kings in the coming years by doing well for them,” he concluded.
In IPL 2025, Arshdeep has been a vital cog in PBKS’ bowling unit, claiming 18 wickets in 15 matches at an average of 24.11 and an economy rate of 8.62. His best figures this season stand at 3/16, underlining his impact across phases.
