What are the ingredients required?

1 cup cashews (soak for at least 4 hours), 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup natural oil (like sunflower or canola), 1/4 cup plant milk (like almond milk or soy milk), 1 teaspoon nutritional yeast, ½ teaspoon salt or as per taste, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric (for color or can skip)

How to make butter

  • Take out the cashews soaked for at least 4 hours or overnight in a sieve so that the water gets completely separated.
  • Now add soaked cashews, olive oil, sunflower or canola oil, plant milk, nutritional yeast, salt and turmeric in the blender.
  • You have to blend all the things until it becomes a completely smooth and creamy paste.
  • When the paste is ready, check that there is no lump left in it and then taste a little so that you can get an idea of ​​the taste and texture.
  • If you do not find the taste perfect then add ingredients like salt or nutritional yeast as per requirement and blend again.
  • The final step of making butter is to put the prepared mixture of cashews, oil, milk and other ingredients in a container and smooth it over the top with the help of a knife or spoon.
  • Close the container and then put it in the freezer for at least 4 to 5 hours or you can even keep it overnight.
  • When your butter is completely ready, you can eat it like normal butter by applying it on toast etc. and it tastes exactly like butter made from milk.

Although this butter also contains fat and hence should be eaten only in limited quantity, but due to nutritional yeast, you will get calcium, iron, vitamin B12 and many other vitamin minerals by eating this butter.
