Actress Vedika Pinto has garnered praise for her role as Sudha in the romantic-drama web series ‘Musafir Cafe.’ In a recent conversation, she shared insights about the calls she received from notable personalities following the series’ release.
Pinto revealed that Rakesh Roshan was among the first to call her. She expressed, “Receiving a call from Rakesh Roshan after the series launched was a monumental moment for me, as I have been a fan of his since childhood. His call on the very first day of the release meant a lot to me.”
The actress was drawn to the character of Sudha, stating that she couldn’t refuse the role. “The primary reason for choosing this role was its compelling story. More importantly, I was captivated by Sudha’s confidence and traits that I aspire to embody in my life. This aspect attracted me to the role,” she explained.
When asked about the love she has received from audiences for her roles, Pinto noted, “Musafir Cafe has brought me immense love and validation from viewers. Since it’s a romantic story, I believe people naturally connect with romantic characters, and the response has been overwhelming.”
She also emphasized the opportunities that OTT platforms have created for new talent. “The number of opportunities has certainly increased due to OTT. In the past, only a few films were made each year. Today, numerous OTT platforms are producing films and series, which naturally raises the demand for actors,” she remarked.
‘Musafir Cafe’ is based on the renowned novel by Divya Prakash Dubey and features Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto, and Mahima Makwana in lead roles. The series has been streaming on Netflix since July 24.
