Most of the people mop the house at any time. They do the cleaning as per their convenience, but it is considered wrong in Vastu Shastra. The best time for mopping is considered to be Brahma Muhurta (before sunrise, between 04 to 5:30 am). If this is not possible then cleaning should be done immediately after sunrise.

While mopping, a pinch of rock salt or a little lemon juice should be added to the water. It is believed that salt absorbs negative energy. Doing this not only eliminates germs from the house, but also increases mutual love between family members.
When should you not mop?
