When to observe Varuthini Ekadashi fast 2025?
According to the Panchang, the Ekadashi date of Krishna Paksha of Vaishakh month will start from 01:16 AM on Sunday, April 12 and will continue till 01:08 AM on Monday, April 13. Since the sunrise of Ekadashi tithi will be on 13th April, hence Varuthini Ekadashi fast will be observed on this day. On this day, three auspicious yogas named Shubh, Amrit and Shukla will also be formed, due to which the importance of this fast has become even greater.

Varuthini Ekadashi fast-worship method
– Observance of the fast of Varuthini Ekadashi starts a day before. Therefore, a day before the fast, i.e. on Sunday night, 12th April, eat satvik food and follow celibacy. The next day i.e. on 13th April, wake up early in the morning and after taking bath, take a resolution to fast and worship.
– Make complete preparations for the puja before the auspicious time. When the auspicious time starts, keep a Bajot at a clean place in the house and install the idol of Lord Vishnu on it. Apply tilak on the idol of God, garland it with flowers and also light a lamp of pure ghee in front of it.
– Offer things like Abeer, Gulal, Rice, Janeu, Kalava, Flowers, Roli etc. one by one to Lord Vishnu. While worshiping, chant the mantra Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya. Offer food to God. After the puja, perform aarti of Lord Vishnu and chant Vishnu Sahastranam.
