Mumbai: Varun Dhawan’s movie Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai was slated to clash with the release of Yash’s Toxic: A FairyTale for GrownUps on June 4. As per the latest reports, the clash has been averted, with Varun’s movie changing the release date to June 12.
Tips Films took to Instagram to confirm the news. The post, shared in collaboration with Varun, Pooja Hegde, and Mrunal Thakur, read, “We would like to clarify that our film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai was originally scheduled for release on 5th June, a date we had announced several months ago. However, after recent developments and considering the prevailing situation, we felt it would be more appropriate to shift our release.” Further, it stated, “We would like to clarify that our film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai was originally scheduled for release on 5th June, a date we had announced several months ago. Addressing Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai change in release dates, Girish Johar told News9 that it was a good decision as it would increase the chances of the film at the box office and give it a better opening.
Yash-starrer Toxic was initially set to release on March 19, clashing with the much-anticipated Ranveer movie Dhurandhar: The Revenge. However, considering the geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East, the makers of Toxic moved the release to June.
