The clip grabbed everyone’s attention, and Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) reacted to it with a safety message. A few reports also claimed that Varun was fined for allegedly violating the Mumbai Metro rules. Later, his team issued a clarification over the whole issue. Varun Dhawan is currently on cloud nine after his recent film, Border 2, got a solid response from the audience. Hence, to celebrate the moment, he travelled by Mumbai Metro to beat the traffic. He was going to the cinema hall for a surprise visit during the Border 2 screening. He shared nside the metro coach on his Instagram story.
The video immediately went viral and caught everyone’s attention. While fans enjoyed Varun’s actions in the video, the Mumbai Metro authority issued a statement regarding the violation of rules. According to an advisory issued by Mumbai Metro, such behaviour inside the coaches is unacceptable, as the support bars are meant strictly for passenger safety. As per the provisions under the Metro Railways (Operations and Maintenance) Act 2002, the person who creates a nuisance or damages public property will get punished with penalties or imprisonment, depending on the gravity of the offence.
Penalty Rumours And Varun Dhawan Team’s Clarification
Some reports suggested that Varun Dhawan was fined for his actions in the Maha Mumbai Metro. However, his team issued a clarification regarding this matter on Tuesday (January 27).

In the note, the Border 2 actor’s team clarified that there was no fine or penalty of any kind issued to Varun. They also revealed that the earlier post by the Maha Mumbai authorities has been taken down. So there are no pending issues regarding this case. “Varun has the utmost respect for the city’s rules and the Metro department’s efforts,” the Badlapur actor’s team concluded.
