Varanasi News: When the aarti of devotees was going on in the house of God, then suddenly there was a sensation in the temple premises due to a fire in the sanctum sanctorum. A sudden fire broke out in a cotton adorned cotton, which caused a stir during the Aarti at the Atmabishveshwar Mahadev Temple located near Brahmanal Chowki, causing a stir. In this incident, many devotees, including the chief priest of the temple, were severely scorched.

Aarti’s lamp in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple hit the cotton in the decoration and the flames started spreading rapidly. Suddenly the spreading fire put the devotees and priests present there in panic. There was a stampede and all the injured were immediately rushed to the Divisional Hospital Kabir Chaura. After first aid, people who suffered more serious injuries have been referred to a private hospital for better treatment. Especially a person has scorched up to 65 percent and his condition is said to be critical.

Police and fire brigade reached the spot, controlled on fire
Seeing the fire and smoke, the people around were frightened and immediately informed the police. As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade and police team reached the spot and after several hours of effort, the fire was controlled.
The police and the fire department said that the cause of the fire is being investigated. Initial investigation has made it clear that the accident occurred due to exposure to the lamp -adorned cotton. The temple administration will also take strict steps to protect the devotees and priests.
