Vaishali Assembly Election 2025: Vaishali Assembly Election 2025 has always been a decisive seat in the politics of Bihar. Vaishali district is not only famous for history and culture but is also very important from political point of view. Janata Dal United (JDU) has been in control here continuously in the last three assembly elections – 2010, 2015 and 2020. This is the reason why this seat is called the impenetrable stronghold of JDU.
Vaishali Assembly: Election results of 2010, 2015 and 2020
- 2010 elections: JDU’s Vrishan Patel secured 60,950 votes and defeated RJD’s Veena Shahi (48,122 votes) by a margin of 12,828 votes.
- 2015 elections: Raj Kishore Singh of JDU defeated Vrishan Patel of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAMS) by a huge margin of 31,061 votes. This time Raj Kishore Singh got 79,286 votes and secured 48% vote share.
- 2020 elections: Siddharth Patel of JDU entered the fray and defeated Sanjeev Singh of Congress. Siddharth Patel got 69,780 votes while Sanjeev Singh got 62,367 votes. The victory margin was only 7,413 votes.

Yadav, Brahmin, Bhumihar, Koeri, Kushwaha, Muslim and Dalit voters play an important role in Vaishali assembly constituency. While Yadav and Muslim votes strengthen RJD-Congress, JDU and NDA have influence on Kushwaha, Bhumihar and Brahmin votes. These caste equations decide the election results.

The condition of education in Vaishali area is considered weak. Due to less number of higher education institutions, the youth have to go out. Debt, flood problem and employment among farmers are the major election issues. Lack of health services and the condition of road connectivity are also big questions for the voters.

Vaishali assembly seat has always been important for the ruling party. Here JDU won three consecutive elections on the basis of strong booth management.
