Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ayush Mhatre are being considered as the next superstars of Team India but both these players have not got a place in India’s Under 25 team. Let us tell you that after IPL 2026, BCCI will organize a tournament at the Center of Excellence in Bengaluru, the purpose of which is to identify the next generation of Test superstars. Along with this, India’s Under 19 and Under 25 teams are also going to Sri Lanka’s Red Ball tournament. 25 players have been selected for the BCCI Under-25 team, in which the names of Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ayush Mhatre are not there.
What is the new Under-25 tournament of BCCI?
After IPL, there will be four-day matches between four teams for the Under-25 team. BCCI COE head will keep an eye on these players. According to PTI report, 64 top young cricketers of the country will participate in this tournament to be held inside the COE. Out of 64 talents, 25 talents will be from CK Nayudu and Under-23 ODI players. Apart from this, the selection committee will select 25 more players who will be from Ranji, Vijay Hazare Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Why are Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ayush Mhatre out of the list?
Out of the 64 players that BCCI is going to select, 25 will be from CK Nayudu and Under-23 ODI team. Apart from this, 25 players will be from Ranji Trophy, VHT and SMAT teams. The remaining top 14 players will be from IPL. Therefore fans do not need to worry. Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi are playing IPL, and it is almost certain that they will be included in the list of 14-man players. Ayush Mhatre is playing for Chennai Super Kings and Vaibhav Suryavanshi is part of the Rajasthan Royals team.
