Noida Jewar International Airport Security: The security of Jewar Airport is being made impenetrable. 5 new police posts and 2 fire stations will be established here. To create a strong security model, the Uttar Pradesh government has released some vacancies for deployment in the airport.

Lucknow/Jewar, March 28: During the inauguration of the first phase of Noida International Airport on Saturday, in view of security, the entire area of ​​Noida International Airport and its surroundings was transformed into an impenetrable security cordon. Strong security arrangements are now being ensured here permanently. To strengthen the security of the airport area, 05 new temporary police posts have been created and also fire stations of 07 units each will be established at two places to deal with any untoward incident.

Under the leadership of Police Commissioner (Gautam Budh Nagar) Lakshmi Singh, arrangements have been made on a large scale with the aim of maintaining internal and external security and traffic system in the areas around Jewar International Airport strong and smooth. Security and traffic management were arranged in such a way that the general public does not face any kind of inconvenience during VIP movement here in future.

Special training to 70 policemen

Joint CP Rajiv Narayan Mishra said that keeping in mind the important aspects related to the security and operation of the airport, a total of 70 police personnel including 03 inspectors, 24 sub-inspectors, 17 head constables and 26 constables have received training under the Jewar Immigration Course. Apart from this, a total of 61 policemen including 30 sub-inspectors, 14 head constables and 17 constables have been nominated for upcoming training, so that the security system can be made more efficient and effective.

Recruitment for Jewar Domestic Terminal

35 Policemen for Police Station Jewar Domestic Terminal A total of 35 posts of civilian policemen have been sanctioned/appointed for Police Station Jewar Domestic Terminal in the airport area. These include 01 Inspector, 02 Sub-Inspectors, 09 Chief Constables, 03 Computer Operator Grade-A, 15 Constables, 02 Constable Drivers and 03 Class IV employees.

5 new temporary police posts established

  • The checkpoints will strengthen the perimeter security of the airport. Joint CP Rajeev Narayan Mishra said that 05 new temporary police posts have been created to strengthen the security of the airport area. These posts include Police Post Mile Stone-32 Km, Cargo Terminal, Domestic Terminal, Mile Stone-27 Km. And Mile Stone-15 Km. Are included. Through all these posts, the perimeter security of the airport has been strengthened and effective surveillance is being ensured on the traffic routes.
  • Security arrangements are active all the time. Additionally, PCR/PRV vehicles have been allocated, which are equipped with modern equipment. Constant patrolling is being done through these vehicles and police personnel have been deployed at police posts and PRV/PCR vehicles, so that the security system remains active and effective at all times.

Team ready to deal with emergency within 2 minutes

From the fire safety point of view, immediate action will be taken in case of any emergency. From the fire safety point of view, approval has been given to establish two new fire stations in Sector-32 and Sector-18 of Yamuna Authority area. Fire stations of 07 units each will be established on 7485 square meter land at both the places. The Public Works Department has been designated the executing agency for their construction. Posts of 01 Fire Officer, 03 Fire Second Officer, 01 ASIM, 08 LFM, 09 FS Driver and 44 Firemen have been created for each fire station, to ensure quick and effective action in case of any emergency.

There will be new police recruitments

  • To further strengthen the security arrangements of Jewar International Airport, there is a proposal to approve the posts of 05 Gazetted Officers, 01 Deputy Commissioner of Police, 01 Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police and 03 Assistant Commissioner of Police along with about 70 support staff.
  • In this sequence, efforts are being made to provide 4000 square meters of land for the construction of ‘Thana Jewar International Terminal’. Proposals for approval of the posts of 01 Inspector, 02 Sub-Inspectors, 09 Chief Constable, 03 Computer Operator Grade-A, 15 Constable, 02 Constable Driver and 03 Class IV employees are also under consideration for the proposed police station.
  • Efforts are being made to provide 10,000 square meters of land for the construction of Police Lines near the airport. Additionally, the Commissionerate is also planning to construct Gautam Budh Nagar Police Lines, about 55 km from the airport. Keeping the distance in mind, efforts are being made to provide about 10,000 square meters of land from Yamuna Industrial Development Authority for the construction of a police lines near the airport. All necessary arrangements for BDDS team, dog squad, transport branch, armoury, training centre, barracks for immigration staff, accommodation, garage and office etc. will be developed in the proposed complex.

Anti-drone system activated by declaring entire area as no-fly zone

Joint CP Rajiv Narayan Mishra said that a 5-level security cordon was created in the entire area regarding the inauguration program of PM Narendra Modi at Jewar International Airport. Where every nook and corner was monitored through hi-tech anti-drones, CCTV, intelligence networks. Along with this, 200 door frame metal detectors, anti-sabotage check, bomb disposal squad, anti-mine checking, sniffer dogs were deployed at more than 100 entry points. Along with this, about 5000 police personnel were deployed. Along with PAC, RAF, ATS, CISF, SPG remained ready for security at every nook and corner. Special arrangements were made for no-fly zone, social media monitoring, control room, help desk, NDRF/SDRF alerts as well as parking of 20,000 vehicles.
