Vaani Kapoor Breaks Silence On Gender Pay Gap, Says She Is ‘Hungrier For Work…’

Vaani Kapoor recently spoke to about the gender pay gap in Bollywood, sharing her perspective as an actress in the industry. She mentioned that she hasn’t yet reached a level of stature where she can demand higher pay and her current focus is on securing work rather than negotiating salaries. Kapoor expressed her eagerness for projects, stating she’s “greedier and hungrier for work”.

In a conversation with Firstpost, Vaani Kapoor said, “I hope someday I’m capable enough when I am able to demand what I feel I deserve. I also feel it’s a form of respect and certain value that you’re bringing to your project, but I still didn’t reach that as yet. In fact, at this point of my life I am greedier and hungrier for work.”

Vaani Kapoor’s performance in Netflix’s crime thriller series Mandala Murders has garnered widespread acclaim. The show, directed by Gopi Puthran and Manan Rawat, features an ensemble cast, including Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Surveen Chawla. Based on Mahendra Jakhar’s book The Butcher of Benaras, the series presents a reimagined plot centered around a mysterious cult worshiping a deity named Yast.
