New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the people of Uttarakhand on the auspicious day of their 25th anniversary of their foundation on Sunday, November 9.
Modi lauded the state, as Uttarakhand is progressing in every field, such as tourism, industry, and more. PM believed that Uttarakhand could become the ‘spiritual capital of the world.’ The state has to focus more on ecotourism, adventure tourism, and wellness centres.
Uttarakhand has made all-round progress in every sector in the last 25 years. The state’s budget was uplifted from Rs 4,000 crore to Rs 1 lakh crore.
PM Modi also inaugurated several development projects worth Rs 8,140 crore in the state. The project will include development in major sectors like drinking water, technical education, sports, urban development, energy, irrigation, and skill development.
He also praised CM Pushkar Singh Dhami’s government for implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state and also setting the example for other states.
The project will include notable Dehradun water supply coverage for 23 zones under the AMRUT scheme, solar power plants in all government buildings, and an AstroTurf Hockey Ground in Haldwani Stadium in Nainital.
