Why is groundwater recharge scheme important?
A “Direct injection water source recharge scheme” was launched from Bharadisain to deal with the increasing water crisis in the state. Under this scheme, the ground water level will be increased by putting treated rainwater in closed hand pumps. In the first phase, 20 selected hand pumps of Garsain and Chaukhutia blocks will be activated again.
Chief Minister Dhami said that the government is committed to dealing with the water crisis by adopting technological innovations. At the same time, the Speaker of the Assembly Ritu Khanduri described it as “the basis of future water security” and said that this initiative will prove to be a milestone in the coming time.

What will be the benefit of this technology?
This technique developed by experts from Swami Ram Himalayan University, Jollygrant will be filtered and treated directly to ground water reserves. This will not only make dry hand pumps alive again, but will also provide a permanent solution to the water problem in rural areas.

On the first day of the monsoon session, Chief Minister Dhami paid tribute to former Tharali MLA late Munni Devi. He remembered that Munni Devi was always present among the public despite the difficult situations in the disaster affected areas. What is the importance of Singtali Bridge?
The much awaited Singtali bridge connecting Garhwal and Kumaon is now going to be a reality. Chief Minister Dhami has given financial and administrative approval of Rs 57 crore. This bridge will be built on the Kaudiyala-Vyasghat route on Ganganadi, which will have a total length of 150 meters.
The construction work will start soon, meeting the long -standing demand of the public. The Chief Minister said that this bridge will strengthen road connectivity between Garhwal and Kumaon, which will facilitate traffic and economic activities between the two areas.
