Healthcare Services Uttar Pradesh: Medical education, AYUSH, Super Specialty Hospitals and Health Infrastructure have led to historical reforms under the leadership of Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh, due to which the state has now become a healthy state, not sick.
Uttar pradesh health reforms: Uttar Pradesh, once called the sick state, is now being counted among the fastest developing medical centers in the country. The state which once struggled with lack of health facilities, while now modern super specialty hospitals, medical colleges and AYUSH have made a new identity. This change did not happen in a day, the foundation laid by Yogi Adityanath government’s visionary policies, strict monitoring and better planning, which has brought health services to new heights since 2017.
Flood of medical colleges and record increase in MBBS-PG seats
Uttar Pradesh has recorded a historic increase in the number of medical colleges since 2017. Now a total of 80 medical colleges are being operated in the state, out of which 44 are government and 36 are private. From Bijnor to Gonda and Kaushambi, the light of medical education has now spread. Along with this, MBBS and PG seats have also increased unmatched. There are 5,250 MBBS seats available in government colleges and 6,550 seats in private colleges, while thousands of seats have been added at PG level.

New dimension to Ayush education, Ayurveda spread from Gorakhpur to Ayodhya
The Yogi government has also given a special place in the modern health system to Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy. From the establishment of Ayush colleges in Ayodhya and Varanasi to the formation of Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University, this effort has proved to be decisive in strengthening alternative medical practices.
Treatment of rural areas from Super Specialty Center in Lucknow-Kanpur
Modern institutions such as Kalyan Singh Super Specialty Cancer Institute and Diabetes Center in SGPGI have been set up in the capital Lucknow. At the same time, the introduction of Medical Research Technology in IIT Kanpur campus is making the state a world -class medical research center. All these are decisive steps towards making the state the center of medical innovation.
Nursing and paramedical education also got encouragement
Construction work has started in 25 new nursing colleges in the state and thousands of new seats have been added. 35 closed ANM centers have been resumed and nursing education has been strengthened by innovations like ‘Mentor-Menti Model’.
From electricity to solar energy: new energy policy of health centers
Solar energy has been arranged for the first time in 72 health units of the state. Also, more than 10,000 health sub -centers have been linked to electricity connections. This step is proving to be a permanent basis for environmental protection as well as healthcare.
515 Block Public Health Unit and 74 Critical Care Block Prepared
To strengthen the health infrastructure, projects worth Rs 4,892 crore have been started in the state under the Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Health Mission. These include 515 Block Public Health Unit and 74 Critical Care Hospital Blocks, most of which have been completed.
