Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday honored the winning participants of the National Youth Festival-2025. He inaugurated the MLA-MP sports competition. Said that sports is a medium to keep a person healthy.

Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh is not only the largest state in terms of population, but is also a state full of talented youth. It will play a leading role in building ‘Developed India’ in the fields of sports, culture and innovation. The path to building a developed India passes through Uttar Pradesh. In this direction, the ‘Develop Uttar Pradesh’ campaign is receiving immense public support.

The Chief Minister was honoring the winning participants of National Youth Utsav-2025 and Youth Parliament-2025 by giving them citations and tablets in a program organized in Lucknow on Monday. On this occasion, he inaugurated MLA and MP sports competitions and also started youth promotion centers and provided sports kits to 16000 Yuvak Mangal Dal and Mahila Mangal Dal. The Chief Minister also honored the best regional youth welfare officers.

Youth got gift of sports before Diwali- CM Yogi

Adityanath said that the distribution of sports material before Diwali is a special gift from the government to the youth. He informed that more than 1.05 lakh youth and Mahila Mangal Dal of the state are actively working. Till now, sports kits have been provided to more than 80 thousand Mangal teams. Sports competitions will start in every village. From village level to Nyay Panchayat, Block, Assembly and Parliamentary constituency level, these competitions will later take the form of MLA and MP sports competitions. Sports is a medium to keep a person healthy. Healthy competition is the inspiration for development.

Both folk culture and sports will become the basis of development of the state: Chief Minister

The Chief Minister called upon the youth not to limit themselves to sports only, but also encourage folk singing, folk stories, drama staging and cultural programs in the villages. Giving the example of Sonbhadra, he said that an atmosphere of enthusiasm was created in the society by organizing a tug of war competition among the elders there. The village people themselves organize Ramlila by collecting donations and also stage it by playing different roles. Our youth should come forward in this also. Folk songs and folk tales are stories of our history and ancestors. It is our responsibility to keep them alive.

Mahila Mangal Dal associated with Mission Shakti programme- CM

CM Yogi said that the fifth phase of ‘Mission Shakti’ is going on by the Uttar Pradesh government regarding women’s safety, respect and self-reliance. Its objective is to make women aware about the awareness about women’s safety and what programs have been done at the central and state government level for the welfare of women. It is the responsibility of Mahila Mangal Dal to connect with their respective Gram Panchayat in those programs and take them to the heights of success.

‘Developed Uttar Pradesh’ became a people’s movement – Chief Minister

CM Yogi said that after 28 hours of assembly discussion, a comprehensive public dialogue was conducted in the state regarding the ‘Developed Uttar Pradesh’ campaign. In this, more than 300 intellectuals were sent to 1,000 academic institutions and suggestions were received from 57,600 gram panchayats, municipal bodies, district panchayats and block committees. He said that till now more than 40 lakh suggestions have been received from different sections of the state through Samarth portal. If Gram Panchayats are self-reliant then area Panchayats and districts will also develop. If the districts develop, the state will become self-reliant and this is the foundation stone of ‘Vision 2047’ of developed India. If development starts from the villages then no one can stop the country from becoming self-reliant.

Sports has now become not just entertainment but a necessity of life: CM

The Chief Minister said that sports has now become not just entertainment but a necessity of life. He said that in the last three years, more than 500 national and international players have been given government jobs. These include the posts of Deputy SP, Naib Tehsildar and sports officers. CM Yogi said that Uttar Pradesh Police has won the maximum number of medals in National and International Police Games, which is proof of the success of this policy.

Sports grounds and open gyms are being constructed in every village – Chief Minister

CM Yogi said that it is the government’s effort to have a sports ground in every gram panchayat, so that children and youth can hone their talents and the government is working on this. He informed that mini stadiums are being constructed at every block level and main stadiums at the district level. Along with this, open gyms and sports training centers are also being developed rapidly.

Establishment of youth centers has been started in 50 development blocks- CM Yogi

The Chief Minister said that so far 12.64 lakh youth have registered on the AI-enabled integrated platform called ‘Yuva Sathi Portal’ in the state. Through this, information about various schemes is being made available to the youth. Also, establishment of youth centers has been started in 50 development blocks at a cost of Rs 2 crore.

CM Yogi said that on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, 1.5 lakh youth have participated in events like reel competition, unity march and podcast. He said that this is a wonderful example of strengthening the spirit of unity and nation building. CM Yogi said that youth are the creators of the developed India of 2047. When India completes 100 years of independence in 2047, today’s youth will lay its foundation stone. He said that Youth Mangal Dal and Mahila Mangal Dal of Uttar Pradesh should become the pioneers of this change. Uttar Pradesh is not only the largest state in terms of population, but is also a state of talented youth, who will play a leading role in building a ‘developed India’ in the fields of sports, culture and innovation.
