Utpanna Ekadashi 2025 is the first Ekadashi of Margashirsha month. On this day, Goddess Ekadashi was born from the body of Lord Vishnu. By fasting and worshiping Goddess Ekadashi, sins are destroyed.
Utpanna Ekadashi 2025: Margashirsha month is going on. Utpanna Ekadashi falls in this month. This is called first Ekadashi. According to mythology, on the day of Utpanna Ekadashi, a girl was born from the body of Lord Vishnu, the creator of the world, and she killed the demon Mur. Pleased on this day, Lord Vishnu had told the girl that she was born from his body on the day of Ekadashi, hence her name would be Ekadashi.
God also gave a boon to Goddess Ekadashi that she would be worshiped along with him. The birth of Devi Ekadashi in the month of Margashirsha makes Utpanna Ekadashi even more special. On this day, Lord Vishnu along with Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Ekadashi are worshiped with rituals. Fast is also observed on this day. By worshiping and fasting on this day, all sins are destroyed and happiness is attained in life.
Rahukaal time on Utpanna Ekadashi
Rahukaal is prevalent on Utpanna Ekadashi. This is a time when one should avoid doing auspicious work. Work done during this period does not give auspicious results. According to the Panchang, Rahukaal on Utpanna Ekadashi will start at 9:25 am and will last till 10:45 am. Do not do any auspicious work or worship during this period.

Utpana Ekadashi auspicious time
Abhijeet Muhurta will start at 11:44 am on Utpanna Ekadashi. This auspicious time will last till 12:27 pm. Vijay Muhurta will start at 1:53 pm. This auspicious time will last till 2:36 pm. Twilight will start from 5:27 pm and last till 5:54 pm. Utpanna Ekadashi can be worshiped in all these auspicious times.
