Ustaad Bhagat Singh Box Office Collection Day 1: Pawan Kalyan’s Telugu Movie Opens Strong Despite Dhurandhar 2 Clash

Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh Day 1 Box Office: The highly anticipated Telugu action-comedy Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Power Star Pawan Kalyan, made its grand debut in cinemas on March 19, 2026. Strategically timed to coincide with the Ugadi festival, the film marked a significant moment for fans as it saw the actor returning to the silver screen following a busy double-release schedule the previous year.

Directed by Harish Shankar and produced under the prestigious banner of Mythri Movie Makers, the film carried immense expectations. This project reunited Kalyan with Shankar, the director behind some of his most iconic moments, leading many to believe it would shatter previous records. However, the initial numbers suggest a steady, albeit quieter, start compared to his recent blockbusters.

According to data provided by the trade tracking platform Sacnilk, the film recorded a net collection of around Rs 31.50 crore in India on its opening day. When looking at the broader picture, including taxes and additional levies, its gross earnings are estimated to be Rs 37.17 crore for Day 1.” While these figures would be considered a massive success for most actors, the bar for Pawan Kalyan is set exceptionally high.

When analysed alongside the actor’s most recent outings, Ustaad Bhagat Singh has some catching up to do. The dip in opening day revenue is noticeable when compared to his 2025 releases:

They Call Him OG (September 2025): This film had reportedly opened higher with a Day 1 net of Rs 63.75 crore.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu (July 2025): This period epic registered an opening day net of Rs 34.75 crore.

Consequently, industry experts have noted that in comparison, Ustaad Bhagat Singh opened lower.
