Patna Blind Murder Case: The mystery of the murder of a young man found a year ago in Patna’s Parsa Bazaar has finally been revealed. Police investigation revealed that the young man was blackmailing his old girlfriend with obscene photos and videos. Fed up, the girl along with her brother-in-law and his friends conspired to murder him.
Patna: Sometimes an old relationship takes such a turn that its end becomes very scary. A similar case has come to light in Patna, the capital of Bihar. The mystery of the dead body of a young man found here a year ago has now been revealed. Police investigation revealed that the murder was not due to any robbery or enmity, but due to an old love affair and blackmailing. Patna Police has arrested three people in this case, while the search for one accused is still going on.
A dead body with its throat slit was found a year ago.
The dead body of a youth was found on 18 March 2025 in Parsa Bazar police station area of Patna. The young man’s throat was slit with a sharp weapon and there were many injury marks on his body. At that time, the biggest challenge before the police was that even the deceased could not be identified. Due to lack of identification, this case had in a way become a ‘blind murder’. The police registered a case of unidentified dead body and started investigation and gradually started gathering clues with the help of technical evidence.
During the investigation, the police took the help of call detail records (CDR) and other technical evidence. During this time, many suspicious phone calls came to light, which helped the police to connect the links of this case. As the investigation progressed, it was revealed that the deceased youth was identified as Mahadev Shah, a resident of Jehanabad. After this, the police took under investigation the people with whom Mahadev had last talked. In this connection, the police arrested Mahadev’s old girlfriend Pushpa Devi, her brother-in-law Alok Kumar and an auto driver Sunny Kumar.

The lover was not leaving her even after marriage
The story told by the main accused Pushpa Devi during police interrogation gave a new twist to the entire case. Pushpa was married to Abhimanyu Paswan in the year 2022. Before marriage, she had a love affair with Mahadev Shah. But after marriage she wanted to start her new life. According to the police, Mahadev was not ready to end this relationship. He continuously blackmailed Pushpa through her personal photos and videos. Not only this, he was also pressurizing her to have physical relations again. Because of this, tension was increasing in Pushpa’s married life and she started living under mental pressure.
Made a dreadful plan with brother-in-law
Troubled by the continuous blackmailing, Pushpa told this to her brother-in-law Alok Kumar. After this, both of them together conspired to remove Mahadev from the way. According to the police, on March 17, 2025, Pushpa called Mahadev on the pretext of meeting him. According to the plan, Alok Kumar, one of his associates and auto driver Sunny Kumar, who were already ambushed there, caught Mahadev. After this he was taken to a secluded place, where his throat was slit with a sharp weapon. He died on the spot.
Changed identity to escape from police
After the murder, the accused adopted different methods to protect themselves from suspicion. Accused Alok Kumar closed the medical shop of his village and came to Patna to live. It is being told that he was preparing for the Inspector recruitment exam here, so that people do not doubt him. The second accused also started preparing for competitive examinations by staying in Mahendru area of Patna.
When the police arrived, he tried to escape by jumping from the roof.
When the police reached the hostel in Mahendru to arrest Alok Kumar on the basis of technical evidence, he tried to escape. In panic he jumped from the hostel roof. During this, his leg was broken and the police arrested him on the spot. Police have also recovered three mobile phones from there, including the broken mobile phone of deceased Mahadev.
