NATO general secretary Mark Root has claimed that the tariff imposed on India by Trump is affecting Russia. PM Narendra Modi has spoken to Vladimir Putin and has asked his strategy about Ukraine.

Tariff imposed against India is affecting Russia
Asked if Trump would impose extensive restrictions on Russia? Mark Root said, “They have already done so. We have seen what they did.” When he was told that “big restrictions” have not been implemented yet, Root pointed to tariff action against India and said: “Oh, a big ban on India.” Root said,

India rejected Mark Route claimed
India has rejected the claim of Mark Route. It is said that what Root said is factually wrong and completely baseless. The Ministry of External Affairs said that no such conversation took place. The NATO chief should be cautious in future.
The official statement released by the Ministry of External Affairs said, “We have seen the statement of NATO General Secretary Mark Roote about the alleged phone conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Vladimir Putin. This statement is factually wrong and completely baseless. Prime Minister Modi has never spoken to President Putin as it is said.
America has imposed 50% tariff on India
Explain that US President Donald Trump has imposed 25% mutual fee on goods imported from India and 25% on Russian oil imports by India. In this way the total tariff is 50%. The US has said that India is giving money to Russia for the fight in Ukraine by purchasing oil. Trump has urged NATO members to reduce Russian oil imports and levy a similar fee on China.
