The US President has imposed tariffs on many countries around the world. A case regarding this is going on in the Supreme Court of America, the decision on which was to come today. However, this decision has been postponed at the last moment. If media reports are to be believed, the next hearing of the case will be held tomorrow. Earlier it was believed that the decision could come on January 9. However, the decision has not been reached yet.
The US Court gave three decisions on Wednesday, but did not give any decision on the important dispute going on regarding the validity of President Donald Trump’s global tariffs. It is not yet decided when the court will give its next decision. However, in many media reports regarding this decision it was said that it may come tomorrow.
What did Trump say on the decision of the US Supreme Court?
President Trump has already adopted a tough stance regarding the Supreme Court’s decision. He had recently said that if the global tariff imposed by him is cancelled, the situation for America could get completely worse. Along with this, he had said that if this happens, then billions of dollars received due to tariffs may have to be returned.
Trump claims that America has received more than $600 billion in revenue from these tariffs. Trump claims that such tariffs strengthen the economy and prevent foreign dependence.

Trump has been in the news regarding tariffs since the beginning of his second term. However, there is opposition to this decision in America itself. 12 states of America have filed a case against Trump. Currently the matter is in the US Supreme Court. Whereas the lower courts (Court of International Trade and Federal Circuit Court) had declared the tariff illegal. This is the reason why along with Trump, everyone’s eyes are fixed on the decision of the Supreme Court.
America has also imposed tariff on India
Very few countries have been able to escape America’s tariffs. Trump has also imposed a total tariff of 50% on India. In this, 25 percent tariff has been imposed only because India buys oil from Russia. Due to heavy tariffs, the sale of Indian goods in America is facing huge difficulties.
