US-Israel vs Iran war Live Updates, April 5, 2026: Hours after US President Donald Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran, Tehran rejected the threat to open Strait of Hormuz, saying that the former’s warning was a “helpless, nervous, unbalanced and stupid action”. In its reply to Trump’s social media post, it said that “the simple meaning of this message is that the gates of hell will open for you”. Several blasts were also heard in Israel’s Jerusalem after it detected Iranian missiles. At least six blasts were heard. Meanwhile, airstrikes in Iran killed at least three people and wounded others, the country’s state media has reported. The attack reportedly took place in the same area where an American crew member is believed to have gone missing. General Ali Abdollahi Aliabadi, a commander of joint military forces of Iran, said his country will target all infrastructure used by the US military in the region, as well ss Israel’s infrastructure, in case of an increase in attacks on his country.
