Lucknow. A big update has come out for lakhs of youth preparing to become teachers in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has released the official advertisement of UPTET 2026. This notification is available on the Commission’s website from March 20, 2026. This time applications have been invited for both primary (class 1 to 5) and upper primary (class 6 to 8) levels.
Yogi government’s focus: promotion of education and employment
The Uttar Pradesh government, especially under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath, is continuously working on improving the education sector and providing employment to the youth. Organizing UPTET 2026 on time is being considered an important step in this direction, so that the teacher recruitment process can be expedited.
OTR system implemented in UPTET 2026
Chairman of the Commission Dr. Prashant Kumar said that this time, One Time Registration (OTR) system has been implemented to make the recruitment process more transparent and easier. Now candidates will have to first complete OTR, only after that they will be able to apply for UPTET 2026. This will prevent fraud, speed up the application process and make the system more transparent.
UPTET 2026 Application Date: When will the applications start?
According to Deputy Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh, applications will start from March 27, 2026.

- Candidates are advised to apply on time and enter all the information correctly while filling the form.
