Tainted Baba Number 1: Asaram Bapu
The real face of Asaram Bapu, who was once the center of faith of millions of devotees, was exposed in 2013. He was accused of raping a minor girl. Investigation revealed that he raped the victim multiple times between 2001 and 2006. After a long legal battle, on April 25, 2018, a Jodhpur court convicted him and sentenced him to life imprisonment. Today, he is serving his sentence in jail.
Tainted Baba Number 2: Ram Rahim Singh
Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who gathered thousands and lakhs of people in the name of his camp, also got trapped in misdeeds. Rape charges against him were proved in 2017. He was convicted in August of that year. In 2019, he was also sentenced for the murder of journalist Ramchandra Chhatrapati. He was found guilty not only of rape, but also of murder. Today he is serving the punishment for his misdeeds in jail.

The son also turned out to be no less evil than his father. Like his father, Asaram’s son Narayan Sai also faced allegations of sexual abuse. The girls living in his own ashram made serious allegations against him. After investigation, he was arrested on charges of rape and sexual abuse in 2015–2016. This chain of sins continued from father to son. Narayan Sai is currently serving his sentence for his crimes in Surat jail.
