UPSC Topper List 2025: The final result of UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025, considered the most prestigious examination of the country, has been released on Friday (6 March). Union Public Service Commission has released the merit list on its official website upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in. This year Anuj Agnihotri has topped by securing All India Rank (AIR) 1. In the merit list released by UPSC, a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for various services, who will now be appointed as per the available posts and rules.

Who is UPSC topper Anuj Agnihotri?

Anuj Agnihotri has secured first position in the country by securing All India Rank 1 in UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025. Anuj, a resident of Rajasthan, achieved the distinction of becoming a topper by performing brilliantly in this prestigious examination. Anuj originally comes from Rawatbhata region of Rajasthan. After his initial studies, he went to Jodhpur for further studies. From there he entered the medical field and completed MBBS. It is noteworthy that UPSC Civil Services Examination is counted among the toughest competitive examinations in India. Every year lakhs of candidates appear in this examination, but the final selection is done only for limited candidates. In such a situation, securing first position in the entire country is considered a big achievement in itself.

When was UPSC Civil Services Exam 2025 held?

The selection process of UPSC Civil Services Examination is completed in several stages.

  • Preliminary Exam (Prelims): 25 May 2025
  • Mains: 22 August to 31 August 2025
  • Personality Test/Interview: By February 2026
  • Final result released: 6 March 2026
  • The interview process ended on 27 February 2026 and the final result was declared within about a week.

Marks will be released in 15 days, result of some candidates kept provisional

UPSC has informed that the marks of all the candidates will be uploaded on the website within 15 days of the final result. That means candidates will be able to check their marks online till 20th March. According to UPSC, the candidature of 348 candidates has been kept provisional at present, while the result of two candidates has been withheld for the time being.
