Ranjit Yadav, a resident of Fatehpur village in Ariyari block of Sheikhpura district of Bihar, claimed that he has secured All India Rank 440 in the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2025. As soon as this news spread in the village, the atmosphere became like a festival. People started reaching home to congratulate, sweets were distributed and celebrations were held at many places. Local media also reached out to cover this success. Not only this, former MLA of the area Vijay Samrat also honored Ranjeet and reportedly gave him gifts.

Ranjit was called and congratulated at the police station also.

According to reports, SHO Rampravesh Bharti of Mahuli police station also called Ranjeet to the police station and congratulated him and fed him sweets. During this, Ranjit presented himself as an inspirational example in front of the media and villagers.

But after some time, when the local media investigated this claim, the whole story changed. Actually, the rank that Ranjit was claiming was in the name of Ranjith Kumar R, a resident of Chikballapur, Karnataka. As soon as this information came to light, the matter came under doubt.

When the police called, he switched off his phone and disappeared.

When the suspicion deepened, the police asked Ranjeet Yadav to appear at the police station with the Aadhar card and UPSC admit card. But as soon as he received the call from the police, he switched off his mobile and it is being said that he disappeared from the village as well.
