Lucknow. Due to the visionary thinking and strong policy decisions of the Yogi government, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a national model for the entire country in the field of Health Digital Public Infrastructure (Health DPI). A strong foundation of safe and interoperable health services has been laid in the state under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).

Digital connectivity from hospital to patient

The entire health system in the state, from hospitals to patients, is being connected to the digital platform. More than 24 crore population of Uttar Pradesh has started getting its direct benefits. Through digital health infrastructure, health services have not only become faster and transparent but also patient-centric. Along with this, a strong foundation has also been laid for AI based healthcare, secure data exchange and interoperability.

Strong foundation of Health DPI under ABDM

Health Secretary Ritu Maheshwari said that ABDM has been implemented as the core health DPI layer in the state. Under this, the digital health system has been integrated, due to which better coordination is being established between patients and health institutions.

UP has the highest number of Abha IDs in the country, 14.52 crore.

So far, more than 14.52 crore ABHA IDs have been created in Uttar Pradesh, which is the highest in the country. With this, more than 70 thousand health institutions and more than 1.04 lakh health professionals have been registered on the ABDM platform.

Historic achievement in digital health records

Uttar Pradesh has also made a big achievement in the field of digital health records. So far, more than 13.03 crore health records have been linked to Abha ID. This makes the entire medical history of the patient securely available on a single digital platform and makes treatment easier.

HIS becomes digital backbone in government hospitals

On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Hospital Information System (HIS) has been implemented as digital health backbone in the government health institutions of the state. At present, NIC’s Next-Gen HIS and C-DAC’s e-Sushrat system are operational in the entire state.

Thousands of hospitals completely connected to digital system

More than 15 thousand government and private hospitals in the state are using HIS. At the same time, 1,171 public health institutions have been completely connected to the digital system. These include medical colleges, district hospitals, community health centers (CHC) and primary health centers (PHC).

Easy and fast treatment through Aura based registration

As per the intention of the Chief Minister, Aabha based registration system has been implemented to provide relief to the patients from long queues and paper procedures. Now patients can do OPD registration through “Scan and Share” feature. At present, about 40 percent of the registrations in the state have become Abha based.

E-prescription and digital payment facility

Yogi government has implemented the e-prescription system in a phased manner. Doctors are now issuing digital prescriptions, thereby ensuring transparency in medicines and safety of patients. Along with this, the facility of digital payment through Scan and Pay and Online Registration System (ORS) has also been started, which has reduced the need for cash transactions.

Lab report available on SMS and WhatsApp

Under the vision of CM Yogi, the state government has integrated Laboratory Information System (LIS) with HIS. Through this, all the labs of government health institutions have been digitally connected. Now patients can get their lab reports directly through Aabha based PHR app, SMS and WhatsApp.

End delay in treatment, report to doctors immediately

Test reports are also immediately available to doctors through the HIS system, which prevents any delay in treatment. So far, LIS has been activated in 1,112 health institutions of the state, which include 126 district hospitals and 986 community health centres.
