Deoria: In a shocking incident, a 50-year-old woman was burnt alive and her husband seriously injured after their motorcycle collided with a pick truck in Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh. The incident led to fire engulfing in both vehicles, the police said.
Couple got trapped under pick-truck
Sharing details of the incident, Circle Officer Manoj Kumar was so severe that after the collision the couple got trapped under the truck. Fire tenders reached the spot after being informed of the incident and brought the fire under control.
The injured husband has been identified as Girija Shankar Mishra (52). The police said that he is is the resident of Amwa village under Barhaj police station area. While his wife, Renu Mishra, died on the spot, he was rescued with the help of locals. Later he was taken to Maharshi Devaraha Baba Medical College, where he is currently under treatment. The police further said that the cause of the incident is being probed.
Separate incidents
In a separate incident, 28-year-old Shubham Verma was seriously injured after an unknown vehicle hit his e-rickshaw near Dhale. His e-rikshaw wet out of control after the accident and overturned. Locals reached immediately after the accident and pulled out Dubey, Shubham Verma, who were injured in the incident. Shubham was taken to Maharishi Devraha Baba Medical College by an ambulance. A resident of Ramgulam Tola, his family members rushed to the hospital after being informed of the incident.
In another incident, a mother lost her life and her son was injured their motorcycle was vedinvo in a road accident on the Deoria-Gorakhpur main road on Friday morning. The incident took place near Kharoh intersection. The injured son is undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
