Hindustan Power Solar Plant: Hindustan Power has tied up with UPPCL for a 435 MW solar project in Uttar Pradesh. This project will supply clean energy for 25 years and strengthen the state’s green energy target.

Hindustan Power has further illuminated the future picture of the state by signing the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the 435 MW DC Solar PV project with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL). This project is not only very important in terms of environment, but will also strengthen local employment and development.
Clean electricity will be available for 25 years
According to a press release issued by Hindustan Power, clean and green energy will be supplied to UP for 25 years under this project. The company has started its office at the project site and work on the ground has started.

Big step towards the target of 22,000 MW
The project is being considered a concrete initiative towards the UP government’s ambitious target of 22,000 MW renewable energy production by 2026-27. The project was approved in April 2025 through a fair and competitive process.

This project of 435 MW will not only provide cheap and clean electricity to UP, but it will also give impetus to regional development, local employment and green economy. The company has also accelerated the process of site development, stakeholder coordination and workforce engagement.
