Uttar Pradesh Monsoon Forecast: The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rainfall between 15 to 17 September in many districts of UP including Purvanchal. In Lucknow too, the possibility of light to moderate rain, farmers and public have been advised to be vigilant.
Monsoon is going to be active once again in Uttar Pradesh. Due to the new low pressure sector built in the Bay of Bengal, there is a possibility of heavy rains between many parts of the state, especially in Purvanchal between 15 to 17 September. According to the Meteorological Department, this change will make the weather more pleasant in the state.
The Meteorological Department says that from September 15, the south-west monsoon may move from western Rajasthan towards a return. But during this time, the impact of the low-pension area in the Bay of Bengal will be seen till Uttar Pradesh. Its most impact will be seen in the districts of Purvanchal, where heavy rains may occur in many places.
Water will rain in many districts including Lucknow
The capital Lucknow is expected to receive light to moderate rainfall from September 15 to 18. This will give relief to people from the humid heat and the weather will remain pleasant. At the same time, rain can last for three consecutive days in some parts of Purvanchal.

- Shravasti
- Bahraich
- Lakhimpur Kheri
- Sitapur
- Rampur
- Bareilly
- Pilibhit
- Shahjahanpur
Advice to farmers and general public
The Meteorological Department has advised the farmers to take measures to prevent waterlogging in the fields in view of the possibility of rain. At the same time, an appeal has been made to the common people to avoid unnecessary travel and prepare according to the weather.
