Orange Alert Up: On August 5, heavy rains on the 15 districts of Uttar Pradesh issued an orange alert, warning of lightning in 60 districts. The administration has appealed to the people to be vigilant and to accept the advice of the Meteorological Department.
Up weather update: The monsoon in Uttar Pradesh has now accelerated its pace. Amid the continuous rains for the last few days, now the Meteorological Department has once again issued a warning, this time more serious. On August 5, heavy rains have been feared in 46 districts of the state, in which an orange alert has been issued in 15 districts. Also, there is a danger of celestial lightning in 60 districts. In such a situation, the public is being appealed to be cautious and careful.
Why is Orange Alert released?
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there may be heavy rainfall from 80 to 160 mm in 15 districts where Orange Alert has been issued. These districts are Agra, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun, Hathras, Mathura, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Shravasti, Gonda, Balrampur and Siddharthnagar. In these districts, the danger of waterlogging, road jams and small bridges may increase. The administration has already put relief and rescue teams on alert.

How will the situation be in other districts?
However, not only these 15 districts, but in 46 districts of the state, the effect of rain will be seen somewhere. Light to moderate rains have been predicted in districts like Lucknow, Kanpur, Ayodhya, Amethi, Unnao, Basti, Hardoi, Meerut, Aligarh, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bijnor, Rampur, Amroha. Due to cloudy for two consecutive days, the maximum temperature has been dropped by 3 degrees Celsius.
Will Noida and Ghaziabad also rain?
Noida and Ghaziabad adjacent to Delhi-NCR are also expected to have good rainfall on the fourth Monday of Sawan. The population here can get some relief from heat and humidity, but at the same time caution is also necessary for the possibility of lightning fall.
What is the big danger of lightning fall?
The most worrying thing is that there is a possibility of lightning in 60 districts. IMD has advised people to stand under trees, use mobile phones in the open or avoid going near electric poles. In previous years, there has been a loss of life and property in such weather, due to which the administration is already ready.
The administration of the state government and the districts has taken seriously the warning of the Meteorological Department. Disaster management teams are being deployed in all districts. Also, the public has been appealed not to follow the necessary precautions, do not get out of the houses unnecessarily and keep an eye on every update related to the weather.
