Lucknow: The much-awaited ‘Navotsav’ is back. Thousands of alumni from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) across the state of Uttar Pradesh will gather for Navotsav 2025. The UP State Navodaya Alumni Open Meet 2025, which is considered to be one of the largest alumni meets in the country, will be held on September 21. The alumni meet will be held at the Dr BR Ambedkar Auditorium, Dr RML Law University, LAD Colony, Lucknow.
The UP State Navodaya Alumni Open Meet 2025 will bring together nearly 8,000 alumni to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate the spirit of togetherness. The event organisers have created a Google Form for registration purposes to attend the event on the official portal at navotsava.in.
The sources indicate that around 200 people have worked selflessly over the past week to make the event a grand success. This year, the UP’s Navotsav is being organised by the Lucknow division.
The organisers have hinted that Navodaya alumni holding prestigious positions like MPs, IAS officers, IPS officers, CAs, engineers, doctors and teachers will also attend Navotsav 2025. These students will not only share their memories but also reunite with their alumni. Hundreds of students from different states are likely to participate in the event.
Every year, Navotsav is celebrated to commemorate the contributions made by JNV students to the country and society. The Navodaya alumni reunion is more than just a celebration. The gathering enables students to showcase the role of Navodaya schools in transforming students into leaders and changemakers.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, run by the Navodaya Schools Committee (NVS) under the Ministry of Education, are fully residential schools affiliated to CBSE, offering classes 6 to 9. As of December 2024, there are over 660 JNV schools across the country.
