Scholarships worth ₹3350 crore given to 28 lakh students in Uttar Pradesh. In the financial year 2025-26, 67 lakh students got a benefit of ₹4800 crore. This scheme is promoting education, transparency and social empowerment.

Lucknow. Taking a new initiative in the field of education in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave the benefit of scholarship and fee reimbursement to about 28 lakh students. This amount is approximately Rs 3350 crore, which is proving to be of great help to the students of deprived and weaker sections. This program organized in Lucknow set a new record and gave a new direction to the future of the students.

Big step in education: Scholarship worth ₹4800 crore to 67 lakh students

So far, scholarships worth Rs 4800 crore have been provided to about 67 lakh students in the financial year 2025-26. This initiative is not limited to just economic assistance but is also strengthening social empowerment through education. The hope and confidence visible on the faces of the students shows the success of this scheme.

Scholarship Distribution Programme: Happiness and confidence among students

During the program, as soon as the Chief Minister pressed the button and sent the scholarship amount to the accounts, the entire auditorium echoed with applause. On this occasion, certificates were given to Deependra Kumar, Neha Singh, Vaibhavkar Pathak, Sujit, Divyanshi, Nihal Fatima, Paridhi Pandey and Monica. Besides, under the National Family Benefit Scheme, assistance was also provided to Deepmala, Archana, Shalini Verma and Sarveswati.

Scholarship on time: Now you will get benefit in the beginning of the session itself

Now the scholarship distribution process has been more streamlined. Where earlier this amount was available at the end of the session, now it is being released from October 2 only. There is a plan to make it semester based from next year, so that students can get financial help at the time of depositing fees. For this, preparations are also underway to make student cards.

Transparency and technological improvements: benefits reach every student

The government has ensured that no student is left out due to technical issues related to bank accounts. Students who could not get scholarship this year due to technical reasons will be given this benefit in the next financial year. This step is important towards making the system more transparent and inclusive.

Success in competitive examinations: The effect of the schemes was visible

Under the Chief Minister Abhyudaya Coaching Scheme, 43 students have been selected in PCS. For the first time, a student has reached IAS Mains through participatory coaching. This shows that government schemes are giving effective results at the ground level.

Backward and minority classes: 33 lakh students got benefits

Scholarships given to more than 20 lakh students till January 2026. As on March 30, 13.52 lakh students were benefited. Thus, a total of about Rs 2700 crore was given to more than 33 lakh students through DBT through the Backward Class Welfare Department. The special thing is that for the first time there has been success in giving scholarship to 100% eligible students.

Education infrastructure strengthened: expansion of colleges and ITIs

To strengthen education in minority areas, 218 inter colleges, 74 ITIs and 18 degree colleges have been established. Apart from this, Unani Medical College and 20 Common Service Centers have also been started in Bareilly, which will increase education and employment opportunities.
