Dr. Lalji Prasad Nirmal made a scathing attack on SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, terming Kanshi Ram’s death anniversary as drama. He accused SP of adopting anti-Dalit attitude, removing the name from Ambedkar memorial and tearing the reservation bill.
Lucknow, 9 October. Former Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Scheduled Caste Finance Development Corporation and Legislative Council member Dr. Lalji Prasad Nirmal has made a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav. He said that the program organized by Akhilesh Yadav on the death anniversary of Honorable Kanshi Ram ji is just theatrics.
Dr. Nirmal alleged that Akhilesh Yadav is the same leader who after coming to power had called Ambedkar Memorial a ‘den of debauchery’. This statement had spread anger among the Dalit community of the entire state.
Accusation of removing names related to Kanshi Ram, Ravidas and Ambedkar
Dr. Nirmal said that the SP government removed his name from the Urdu, Arabic and Persian University established in the name of Honorable Kanshi Ram ji. Similarly, respected names from Ramabai Nagar in Kanpur Dehat and Sant Ravidas Nagar in Bhadohi district were also removed. He told that the name of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was also removed from the interstate bus stand of Lucknow and the green garden of Gomti Nagar.
‘Atrocities on Dalits increased under SP rule’- Dr. Lalji Prasad Nirmal
Dr. Nirmal said that during the tenure of the SP government, 9 Dalits were murdered in the Panwari incident, while a Dalit youth was crushed by a tractor in Etawah. He alleged that SP tore the reservation bill in Parliament and took many decisions against the rights of Dalits.
According to Dr. Nirmal, Akhilesh Yadav and his associates always adopted a negative attitude towards Baba Saheb Ambedkar, Kanshi Ram, and Sant Ravidas. He said, ‘Today he is roaming around with books of the Constitution, but the public has not forgotten his past anti-Dalit actions.’

Dr. Nirmal said that no matter how much Akhilesh Yadav rubs his nose, it is difficult to return to power now. He alleged that even when Azam Khan called Dr. Ambedkar a land mafia during the inauguration of Haj House in Ghaziabad, Akhilesh remained silent and clapped.
Dr. Nirmal said, “Today Akhilesh Yadav is rubbing his nose against Azam Khan, but no matter how hard he tries, the public will not bring him back to power.”
SP accused of being anti-Dalit
In his statement, Dr. Lalji Nirmal clearly said that the character of Samajwadi Party has been anti-Dalit. He said that SP’s policies have always been against the marginalized communities, and now the public has made up its mind to keep such leaders away from power.
