UP Government Scholarship Scheme: Uttar Pradesh government is preparing to increase the scholarship of OBC students. About nine lakh students will get direct benefits due to increase in rates. This step will ensure equal opportunity and financial help in education.
Up obc scholarship: A big news related to the field of education is coming out in Uttar Pradesh. The government is now seriously considering increasing the scholarship of OBC students. For a long time, there was a complaint that OBC students get less financial assistance than other sections. In such a situation, if it is decided to increase the rates, then about nine lakh students will get a direct benefit.
Why need to increase scholarship rates raised?
At present, scholarships are given to students of class 9 and 10 in the state only when the annual income of their family is less than Rs 2.5 lakh. Under the current system:
- SC (SC) and ST (ST) students to Rs 3500 annually,
- 3000 rupees annually to students, general and minority students,
- While OBC students get only Rs 2250 annually.
Interestingly, earlier the general class also used to get only Rs 2250, but in 2018-19, their amount was increased to Rs 3000. Now the question is, how long will OBC students be deprived of equal profit?
