The government has termed the rumors of shortage of petrol and diesel in Uttar Pradesh as false. According to officials, fuel supply is normal in all the districts. People have been appealed not to panic stock and not pay attention to rumours.
Lucknow. Amidst the ongoing discussions regarding the shortage of petrol and diesel in Uttar Pradesh, the state government has clarified that the fuel supply in the state is completely normal. Principal Secretary Food and Logistics Department Ranveer Prasad said that petrol and diesel are being made available as per demand in all the districts and there is no crisis anywhere.
Government’s strict warning on social media rumors
The state government has appealed to the people not to pay attention to rumors and not make unnecessary panic purchases. According to the government, recently some misleading messages are being spread on social media, in which it is being said that there is shortage of fuel. The administration has termed these reports as completely false and said that these are false messages being spread by some mischievous elements. The government has warned that such people will be identified and strict action will be taken against them.
Strengthened coordination with district administration and oil companies
The state government has instructed all the district administrations to continuously monitor the condition of petrol pumps in their respective areas. Besides, arrangements for additional supply have also been ensured by coordinating with the oil companies, so that there is no shortage of fuel anywhere and the general public does not face any kind of problem.
Do not store in panic: Government’s appeal
The government has also said that purchasing and storing more petrol and diesel than required puts unnecessary pressure on the supply system. Therefore, people have been requested to exercise restraint and buy fuel only as per their normal requirement.
Petrol pumps open 24 hours, fuel available in sufficient quantity
Sarvesh Vajpayee, member of Lucknow Petrol Dealers Association and owner of SR Filling Station (Engineering College), also said that petrol and diesel are available in sufficient quantity. He said that all petrol pumps are operating smoothly 24 hours and there is no need for people to panic and store fuel.
Government’s confidence: Fuel supply completely under control
The state government has assured that ensuring the availability of essential commodities is its primary responsibility. There is no need to worry about petrol and diesel, because the situation is completely under control and the supply is continuing normally.
