Vikas Kushwaha of the village and Nandini, who hails from Katheria, met about three years ago. Vikas went to Bidhanu, the house of his relative, while the conversation and closeness of both of them increased. Family opposition and danger situation
When the people of Nandini’s house came to know about this relationship, they banned the meeting of both. Nandini was stopped from going out of the house and monitored. Despite this, Nandini kept contact with secretly hidden development. The protest increased so much that his family also threatened to kill him.
Panchayat and marriage in police post
On the 13th, Nandini left home and ran away near Vikas. The police called both of them outpost and explained after several hours of questioning. Both of them clearly said that they are adults and have chosen each other as a spouse on their own free will.
After this, the police called both the families and conducted a panchayat in the outpost. Finally, the marriage of Hindu customs was concluded in the Shiva temple built in Birhar Chowki. The rituals of Jayamala, Mangalasutra and demand filling were completed. The village head and family were also present in this wedding.
What did the station in -charge say?
A half and a half police station in -charge Avinash Singh said that both the boy and the girl wanted to marry on their own. The family’s opposition was due to casteism. The police understood both sides and sent the newly married couple home with the family. Both families also blessed the new couple on the occasion.
