Uttar Pradesh weather update: Eastern and western UP recorded less than normal rainfall in the last 24 hours. The humid heat remained in Lucknow. The Meteorological Department has issued alert for heavy rainfall in the Terai districts from 11 to 13 September.
The monsoon in Uttar Pradesh is currently weakened. In the last 24 hours, more than normal rainfall was recorded in eastern and western UP. According to the Meteorological Department, sporadic rainfall is expected in the state for the next 2-3 days, while between 11 and 13 September, heavy rains have been expected in the Terai districts.
Sun and humidity in the capital Lucknow
The sky remained clear in Lucknow on Sunday and the strong sunlight. Due to excess humidity, people faced humid heat. The winds moved at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour during the day.
- Maximum temperature: 35.7 ° C (2.6 degrees above normal)
- Minimum Temperature: 26.6 ° C (1.7 degrees above normal)

Heavy reduction in rain
- Eastern UP: 2.5 mm rainfall over estimated 7.4 mm (67% less)
- Western UP: 1.3 mm rainfall over estimated 7.5 mm (83% less)
- Average in the state: only 2 mm of rainfall (73% less) compared to estimated 7.4 mm
However, on an average 644.9 mm rainfall has been recorded in the state from 1 June to 7 September, the general estimate is slightly higher than 641.4 mm.
Meteorological warning
Meteorologist Dr. Atul Singh said that monsoon activities will be weak in the state for the next two-three days. During this time, more temperature and humid people will continue to bother people. This is followed by heavy rains in the Terai districts between September 11 to 13, while other areas may receive light rain.
