Uttar Pradesh Heavy Rain Alert: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rains in 38 districts of UP and lightning in 47 districts. From 22 to 26 August, the rainy season may continue with thunderstorms in the state, people have been advised to be vigilant.
Up weather update: Troubled by the humid heat of the last few days, the people of Uttar Pradesh can now get relief. According to UP Weather Update, the process of thunderstorm will continue in the state for the next four days. Zonal Meteorological Center, Lucknow has issued alert for heavy rain in many parts of the state from today to 26 August.

The Meteorological Department said that this change is happening due to the new weather system built in the Bay of Bengal. The effect of Monsoon Rain in Uttar Pradesh may cause rains in both eastern and western UP.

In which districts heavy rain alert? (UP Heavy Rain Alert Districts)
Today Yellow Alert has been released in 38 districts of the state. These include Prayagraj, Azamgarh, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Gonda, Agra, Pilibhit, Bareilly, Rampur, Moradabad, Varanasi, Chandauli, Mirzapur, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Mau, Ambedkar Nagar and Bijnor.
Also, Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Deoria, Ballia, Gorakhpur, Basti, Santakbir Nagar, Sonbhadra, Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jhansi, Jalaun and Lalitpur alert are also going on.
Lightning alert in UP
The Meteorological Department has predicted lightning and heavy rains in 47 districts. These include districts like Sitapur, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur, Kanpur, Saharanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri and Shamli. People have been advised to stay away from open places during thunderstorms.
Where will you get light rain? (Light Rain in Lucknow and Noida)
Light rains are likely in Lucknow, Noida, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Mathura, Aligarh, Hathras, Sambhal, Badaun, Unnao, Kannauj, Etah, Mainpuri and Kasganj. However, there will be no complete relief from the humidity here.
Important advice for people (Imd Weather Advisory Up)
The Meteorological Department has said that there may be heavy rains on 24 and 25 August. Under the IMD Yellow Alert Uttar Pradesh, people have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and stay away from water filled areas.
The process of rain is expected to continue in many parts of UP by 26 August. According to UP Monsoon Forecast, the rain will be beneficial for crops and water levels, but heavy rains can also increase the problem of waterlogging. The department will release new updates in the coming days.
