Mission Shakti UP: Special centers in police stations and 40 thousand policemen trained
To strengthen women’s safety, special centers have been created in every police station under Mission Shakti. About 40 thousand policemen have been trained to operate these centres. Due to this, women are getting quick assistance and better service at the police level.
Anti Romeo Squad Action: 5 crores investigated, action taken against thousands
Anti Romeo Squad has made a big impact at the grassroots level. So far, more than 5 crore people have been screened, 1.85 crore people have been warned and legal action has been taken against 38,835 people. This shows that the government is working on a zero tolerance policy towards crime.
Women Helpline & ITSSO Portal: Fast and transparent investigation through technology
For the safety of women, 1090 Women Power Line, Helpline 181, GRP and Fire Service have been linked together, due to which a quick help system has been developed. Investigation of sexual crimes has been linked to technology through the ITSSO portal, which has increased both transparency and speed. After the launch of Mission Shakti Kendra, there has been a decline in crimes between September 2025 and December 2025. During this period, there was a 33.92% decrease in rape cases and 12.96% decrease in dowry deaths.
UP Crime Disposal Rate: 98.90% disposal, speedy punishment to culprits
Uttar Pradesh has made a record in disposal of women related cases. The state tops the country with 98.90% disposal rate. Due to effective advocacy, culprits have been convicted in 32,575 cases, 14,111 POCSO cases and 4,564 rape cases.
Women Police Strength UP: Expansion of women police force and new police stations
Police infrastructure has also been expanded to strengthen women’s safety. 19,839 women policemen have been appointed in the state and 9,172 women beats have been formed. Apart from this, 3 women PAC battalions are active and 5 new ones are proposed. Besides, 134 new police stations, 86 new police posts and 78 women counseling centers have been established, which has further strengthened security at the ground level.
