CM Yogi Adityanath has given instructions for tight security arrangements in the state in view of Holi, Mahashivratri, Ramzan, board exams and census. Strict action has been taken against miscreants, noise control, traffic management and emergency services have been asked to remain alert.
Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given strict instructions to maintain law and order during various festivals including Holi, Mahashivratri and Ramzan. In a review meeting with senior officials on Wednesday, he clearly said that strict action should be taken against those trying to disturb the peace.
The festival of Holi will be celebrated from 02 to 04 March. It should be ensured that a festive atmosphere is maintained during Holikotsav in the entire state including Braj region. There should be no infiltration of any kind of unruly elements in the processions. Strict action should be taken against those who disturb the atmosphere or spread hysteria.
Review of statewide law and order through video conferencing
Administrative and police officers of all divisions, police zones, ranges and districts participated in the meeting through video conferencing. The Chief Minister said that by learning from the incidents of previous years, surveillance and security management should be further strengthened as per local needs.
Holi Guidelines: Holika Dahan at traditional places only
The Chief Minister directed that Holika Dahan should take place only at traditional places. Burning should not be done in the middle of the road under any circumstances. Social media platforms should also be continuously monitored so that immediate action can be taken against rumors or inflammatory content.
Mahashivratri Security: Security priority for Kanwar pilgrims and devotees
Instructions have been given to ensure the safety of Kanwar pilgrims coming out for water offering on Mahashivratri. Police and administration should remain fully alert so that no accident occurs. Information about the preparations for major Shiva temples was taken from the District Magistrates of Varanasi, Meerut, Lakhimpur Kheri and Barabanki. A large number of devotees are likely to arrive on 14th and 15th February.
NDRF and SDRF teams should be active 24×7 for the convenience of devotees, easy darshan, traffic arrangements, parking, women safety and to deal with emergencies. Police personnel deployed in temples should behave decently with the devotees and there should be adequate deployment of women police personnel.
Strictness on traffic management and noise control
The Chief Minister directed that the causes of traffic jams should be identified and permanent solutions should be implemented. Instead of temporary measures, long-term and practical arrangements should be made. The sound of loudspeakers at religious places should not go out of the premises. Immediate action should be taken if rules are violated. There will be a complete ban on DJ or loud sound equipment after 10 pm in marriages or social functions.
Action on Illegal Activities: Ban on spurious liquor and stunting
Instructions have been given to strictly control the manufacture and sale of illegal, poisonous and spurious liquor. Immediate action should be taken on any information. It has also been asked to run a special campaign against those doing stunts in public places. The increasing beggary around the religious places should be stopped and a plan should be made for the rehabilitation of the concerned people.
Special vigilance in view of Board Exams, Ramzan, Navratri and Eid
UP Board class 10 and 12 examinations will start from February 18. Cheating-free examinations should be ensured and strict action should be taken against those who commit irregularities. The month of Ramadan will begin during this period and Eid will likely be celebrated on March 21. Peace and harmony should be maintained by maintaining dialogue with religious leaders. No new tradition should be allowed to start. Vasantik Navratri will start from March 19 and after that the festival of Ram Navami will come. All preparations should be completed on time.
Special focus on Census 2025 and Emergency Services
The first phase of census will start in the coming days. All District Magistrates should ensure preparations for this. The Chief Minister directed to improve the response time of 108 and 102 ambulance services. Negligence in emergency services will not be tolerated. He said that all departments should fulfill their responsibilities with complete honesty and accountability.
