Reviewing infrastructure projects in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed to speed up land acquisition for the proposed expressway. Emphasis was laid on completing Ganga Expressway, Jewar International Airport, logistics hub, irrigation and energy projects within the time limit.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to speed up the land acquisition process for the proposed expressway projects in the state. In the progress review meeting held on Tuesday, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of several important infrastructure projects and directed the officials to complete the work within the stipulated time.

Expressway Projects Land Acquisition: Instructions to speed up the land acquisition process

In the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of Chitrakoot Link Expressway, Farrukhabad Link Expressway, Agra-Lucknow-Purvanchal Link Expressway, Jhansi Link Expressway and Jewar Link Expressway projects. He directed the concerned District Magistrates to immediately speed up the land purchasing process for these projects and wherever there is any obstacle, it should be removed on priority basis. The Chief Minister said that the expansion of the expressway network will give a new direction to investment, industrial activities and regional balanced development in the state.

UP Infrastructure Development: Strong infrastructure will accelerate economic progress

The Chief Minister said that strong infrastructure is very important for the rapid economic progress of the state. He clarified that unnecessary delay or lack of quality in any development project will not be accepted. All departments were directed to complete the under-construction projects within the stipulated time frame, with high quality and complete transparency.

Ganga Expressway Update: Complete the remaining work soon and prepare for operation

It was told in the review meeting that the main carriageway construction of Ganga Expressway is almost complete and the remaining work is being done rapidly. The Chief Minister directed the officials that all the remaining works should be completed within the stipulated time, so that the expressway can be made ready for operation soon. Besides, work is also going on on the proposal to extend the Ganga Expressway from Meerut to Haridwar.

Jewar International Airport Project: Review of progress of Jewar Airport

The progress of the Noida International Airport project was also reviewed in the meeting. Officials said the airport has recently received a provisional aerodrome license and land acquisition and other construction work is progressing rapidly. The Chief Minister directed that all the works related to the airport should be completed soon with coordination.

Multi-Modal Logistic Hub: Logistic Hub Project in Greater Noida

The multi-modal logistics hub and multi-modal transport hub being developed in Greater Noida were also reviewed. The Chief Minister directed to complete the land acquisition and construction work for these projects within the stipulated time. Along with this, he was asked to ensure construction quality and strict adherence to contract conditions in Chilla Elevated Flyover Project of Noida.

Irrigation Projects Review: Priority to irrigation projects

During the review of irrigation sector, the progress of Middle Ganga Canal Project (Stage-2) and Erich Irrigation Project was discussed. The Chief Minister said that irrigation projects are very important for increasing the productivity of farmers, hence the works of these projects should be taken forward on priority basis.

Energy Projects in UP: Emphasis on clean energy and power generation

In the energy sector, the progress of the proposed pumped storage project in Rihand-Obra area, environmental upgradation of thermal power projects and the proposed 100 MW solar power plant in Jhansi were also reviewed. The Chief Minister directed that along with increasing the energy production capacity in the state, clean energy projects should also be carried forward rapidly.

Tourism Development Projects: Night Safari and Convention Center

The progress of the proposed Exhibition-cum-Convention Center under Vrindavan Scheme in Lucknow and the proposed Night Safari project in Kukrel area were also discussed. The Chief Minister said that these projects will boost tourism and service sector, hence they should be taken forward on priority.

Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority: Target to acquire land by June

Reviewing the progress of land acquisition in Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority area, the Chief Minister directed that this work should be completed by June. He also gave instructions to deploy additional manpower as per requirement.

Social Development Projects: Education, Health and Employment Schemes

The meeting also reviewed the progress of the Chief Minister Model School Scheme, the proposed 300-bed cancer hospital in Lucknow, and the ‘Zero Poverty’ campaign. Officials said that under the campaign, extremely poor families are being identified and linked to government schemes. Besides, the process of connecting the youth with skill development and employment is going on. The Chief Minister stressed the need to provide training to entrepreneurs to make the CM Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan more effective.

CM Yogi Statement: Development projects will change the face of the state

The Chief Minister said that the ongoing development projects in the state are not limited to just infrastructure creation, but will become the basis of investment, employment and a comprehensive change in the standard of living of the citizens. He directed all the departments to complete all the projects within the stipulated time frame with a coordinated and goal-oriented approach.
